Hello, fellow stampers!
On YouTube, I have posted the second video in the beginner's stamping series. This video is comparing a few inks and how they work with alcohol markers and watercolor. Click on the image below to view the video!
After the ink tutorial, I used Magnolia Blooms to create a simple but stunning birthday card. This stamp set from Stampin' Up!® is another beautiful and versatile stamp set.
Here's the Card:
Here's What I Used:
- Whisper White card stock (for the base and image piece)
- Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set
- Calypso Coral card stock
- Tombo glue
- Stampin' Blends Calypso Coral
- Memento Ink
- Rhinestones
- Paper trimmer/scorer
Here's What I Did:
- Cut my cardstock down to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4"
- Cut my mat/image cardstock down to 5 1/4 x 4"
- Using the Magnolia Blooms stamp set by Stampin' Up! and Memento ink stamp the floral image.
- Let the ink dry for a moment before putting down a color wash of the Calypso Coral alcohol marker.
- Using the sentiment "Happy Birthday" from the same stamp set and the Memento ink stamp the sentiment in the bottom left-hand corner.
- Glue the image piece onto the Calypso Coral mat and using dimensionals adhere that piece onto the card base.
- Using the alcohol marker color the rhinestones.
- Once you have colored the rhinestones place them around the image.
- The inside of the card needs to be stamped on the bottom right with Memento ink and after letting it dry a moment give it a color wash as well.
- Do the same with the envelope.
